Hydration Tips for your Dog!

Dogs need to drink about ounce of water per pound of body weight per day. So just like a toddler encourage your dog to drink water by putting it in their favorite bowl and always making sure it is full. Your dog should avoid drinking pool water because of the chemicals are harmful. Water from your tap is best or filtered water.

Check with your vet if their water pattern changes suddenly. Ask your dog nutritionist if you have any other questions.

Dog Food Shelf Life Tips

Just like human food, dog food also has a shelf life. Always check the best before date. Also be aware of the preservatives in your dog’s food. Added Vitamin E is a natural preservative which breaks down quickly.
Buy food in smaller quantities and keep in cool dry cupboards away from the oven or microwaves and heat in general. Store the food in air-tight containers which also keeps it longer.
